Raised of $1,500,000 Goal
My Dad Stojan was diagnosed with brain tumour at the age of 34. He sadly passed away 12 months following his surgery, leaving behind mum who was 30 at the time & 3 young children. We miss Dad every day & wonder what life would have been like if he was still with us. I was devastated to realise that brain cancer kills more children than any other disease & more people under 40 than any other cancer. These statistics are simply not acceptable and need to change for current and future generations. More than 25 years on since my dad's passing, there has been very little traction in the field of brain cancer & increased awareness and funds for research are required to change this sad & devastating reality. If I can spare another family from the hole that brain cancer has left in my family's life, then that is worth fighting for.The walk for me represents increased awareness, raising of much needed funds for brain cancer research and honouring, respecting and remembering our loved ones that we have lost to brain cancer (I love you dad), celebrating the survivors, and showing hope, love & support to those currently fighting brain cancer as well as to each other. I truly believe that together, hand in hand, we can all make a difference. Please join me in this important initiative that is very close to my heart & the hearts of many, including my wonderful family. Your support will be very heart felt and greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance - Let's Beat It!! xxx
