"On 19 November 2014, our brother, Jamie Griffiths, passed away from brain cancer. He was only 38 years old, a father to three beautiful little girls and loved by all that knew him. Diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma tumour in July 2013, Jamie remained positive all throughout his illness hoping for a miracle before his time ran out. He wanted more awareness raised for brain cancer and to help others constantly, no matter how bad a day he was having himself. Sadly he passed away only 16 months later.
Anyone that is affected by cancer knows that it is never an easy road, it is an absolute nightmare watching people you love suffer and the emotional rollercoaster is a daily occurrence.
This walk is in memory of Jamie and others who have lost their lives way too early to this terrible disease, and also for the family and friends that need support. We will hope to raise as much funds as possible to help towards brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness to hopefully reduce the risk of others having to endure this painful disease."
