The city of Toowoomba will be supporting Cure Brain Cancer Foundation with its fourth Walk4BrainCancer on Sunday the 14th of October, starting with a butterfly release at 9.00am.
The trail will then head off on a 2-5 km walk around Wilsonton State High School, remembering those who have lost their battle, support those fighting and raising funds to ultimately find a cure.
Sit back on the picnic rugs and enjoy some tunes, food and company and support from people who understand.
"Going through brain cancer was one of the most horrific life events to date that my family has experienced.
In Australia, brain cancer is killing more children than any other disease and more adults under the age of 40 then any other cancer. This monster took away my beautiful Dad. Dad and I shared a father-daughter relationship that I'm sure most people could only dream of.
I want Dad's legacy to be that of helping people and help prevent what happened to our family to others. We will support those fighting. We will honour our loves ones we have lost. We will never ever give up. Look forward to seeing you all there.
Miss you everyday Dad xx" - Tracey Gollan, organiser of Walk4BrainCancer Toowoomba
