The Clarence Valley Walk4BrainCancer was formed in memory of two young Clarence Valley locals – Robert Black and Josh Allen.
Robbie Black, or Blacky as most knew him, was a much- loved Clarence Valley local and one of Australia's most talented young rifle shooters. Blacky unfortunately lost his battle to a brain stem glioma in 2012 at just 21 years old.
Josh Allen was also a well-known young sportsman in the local community, a great all rounder in soccer, cricket and hockey. Josh unfortunately also passed from a brain stem glioma on his 16th birthday on October 2014.
Together Team Blacky and Team Josh will once again host the Clarence Valley Walk4BrainCancer after raising over $6,600 in their first walk last year. They invite the community to come together to remember those lost, and help raise awareness and much needed funds to fight this terrible disease.
100% of funds raised with go to Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
Join us again this year at Memorial Park Grafton for a 4km walk along the banks of the Clarence, across the bridge and return for a BBQ , entertainment and raffles.
