Our son, Cameron Brown, was diagnosed with brain cancer in London in 2014. After two brain operations he returned to Melbourne late in 2015 and passed away in February 2016 at the age of 35.
Cam was born and raised in Bendigo, an alumnus of Queens College Melbourne, a talented sportsman and a dedicated environmentalist. A Queens scholarship has been set up by Cam's friends from Queens College Melbourne to run in perpetuity in his honour, with the first recipients organising and placing bird-nesting boxes around Melbourne University and other Melbourne sites this year. We are offering our friends and Cam's friends from Bendigo the opportunity to walk, raise funds for brain cancer research, and remember and honour him in the process.
Join us for a walk along the path beside the Bendigo Creek from the Rowing Club car park off Weeroona Ave, northern end of Lake Weeroona, to the Botanical Gardens at White Hills, and return. Approx 5.4 km total.
